Wrapping up Facilitation & Co-Design

Over the past days, students have explored the art of facilitation and co-design, diving into methodologies that empower collaboration and drive meaningful outcomes in service design. Under the guidance of Chiara Monteleone, they moved from theory to practice, refining their ability to design and lead participatory sessions.

Each group had the opportunity to run its own co-design workshop, focusing on the theme delicate theme of “solitude”. Through hands-on facilitation, they engaged participants in structured exercises, guiding discussions and capturing insights. The module concluded with a final presentation session, where students shared their findings and received peer reviews from the other groups, fostering reflection and collective learning.

This experience has reinforced the importance of facilitation as a key skill for designers, helping them navigate group dynamics, foster engagement, and extract valuable insights from collaboration. A journey of iteration and co-creation that highlights how facilitation is not just about leading a session but about enabling ideas to emerge and take shape.
