Understanding Blockchain & its Applications with Claudio Di Ciccio

Today students completed the final module part of a set of lectures aimed at educating them on Emerging Technologies. The module Blockchain taught by Claudio Di Ciccio provided an insightful overview of the basics of blockchain technologies and their potential impact on service design. Through a combination of lecture-style presentations and interactive sessions, participants learned about the guarantees of blockchains, the technologies behind them, and the design and implementation of new services using smart contracts, tokens, and decentralized applications (DApps).

In the last portion of the class, the students were split into groups and tasked with ideating possible ideas that would involve the use of blockchain on a service level. This exercise allowed the students to apply their newfound knowledge to real-world scenarios and think creatively about how blockchain could be used to solve problems in various industries.
