Overflying Behavioral Design, with Lauren Kelly as pilot
Behavioral Design module is a stepping stone into the world of behavioral design. In these two days, Lauren Kelly will bring students closer to the fundamentals of understanding and influencing human behavior. Students are engaged in activities that challenge them to observe and decode behavior in the wild. In the future, they will use those insights to design services that can genuinely make a difference and aim to change behavior. Students are called to reflect upon what they have learned in other modules, but, this time, using a behavior lens. By blending theory with practical exercises, this module aims to equip students with actionable skills.
Students are going through a kick-off with an exploration into what behavior means and how it’s observed through a designer’s lens, followed by a session on understanding behavioral influences. Then, participants will venture outside to see behaviors-in-action; and finally be introduced to behavior change patterns.
The module will culminate in a hands-on ideation session, where students will apply what they learned in order to influence real-world behaviors, wrapping up with group reflections and feedback.
