IoT & Physical Computing for retail
Guided by Lorenzo Ruggieri, during their next Pill, “IoT & Physical Computing”, students will build an IoT project for retail industry. During the experimentation they will have the chance to design interactive touchpoints, at the concept level, and prototype them.
The course focuses on IoT and Physical Computing as useful and complementary elements to the Design of Services. The purpose is to allow students acquiring knowledge on, experimenting the approach and the tools applied to the design, and prototyping of smart objects and interfaces. During the course, students will learn what are the most common technologies to prototype and implement an IoT project, and the fundamental “deliverables” to be shared with suppliers.
Through the development of their projects students will finally understand why IoT and Physical Design are so important for businesses. We already know their outputs will be great!
