Getting hands-on with Service Design Tools.

Today, Valentina Auricchio and Marta Corubolo opened the module on Service Design Tools Basics. Over the next three days, students will dive into the history and evolution of design methods, focusing on key tools and techniques used in service design practice.

This module combines theoretical insights with practical exercises, encouraging students to analyze existing services through “reverse engineering.” Using tools like Stakeholder Maps, Personas, Journey Maps, Service Blueprints, and others, they will gain a deeper understanding of how to represent and design services.

The lessons will also highlight how to adapt tools to specific project contexts, enabling students to make informed decisions about which tools to use and how to apply them effectively. By the end of this module, students will have a solid foundation in the role of tools within the design process – ready to take future design challenges with confidence!
