From research to prototyping: Connecting insights and implementation

The Design Ethnography module has concluded, leaving students with a deep understanding of qualitative research methods, cultural sensitivity and field observation.

Over the past few days they have investigated the lunchtime experience at Campus Bovisa, uncovering key insights into behaviors, habits and social interactions that shape daily routines. These findings now serve as the basis for the next phase.

With the start of the first Pill, led by Marc García i Fortuny, students will take the next step: moving from concept generation to prototyping a service. In this five-day module, they will learn how to translate research insights into tangible service concepts by exploring ideational frameworks and experimenting with prototyping techniques.

From understanding user needs to creating real solutions, this is where research turns into action. Let’s see how these concepts evolve in the early stages.
