Guy Julier

FacultyGuy Julier is Professor of Design Culture at Aalto University. He has also worked as a professor of design culture for seven years at the University of Brighton, UK. His books include Economies of Design (2017), The Culture of Design (3rd Revised Edition 2014) and, co-edited with Liz Moor, Design and Creativity: Policy, Management and Practice (2009). He was founder of DesignLeeds, a research and consultancy unit dedicated to new forms of design-led urban regeneration and community engagement. He is credited with having established Design Culture studies as a scholarly discipline. Most recently his work has focused on co-production through design for social change.
