Bec Chau is a Senior Strategic Designer at Arup’s Studio and a Senior Research Fellow in Strategic Design at UCL’s Institute of Innovation and Public Purpose, with experience across the UK, Australia, the US, and Singapore. Her academic background spans design, city planning, and public innovation, enabling her to bring a transdisciplinary approach to reshaping cities for a more regenerative and just future. Her work empowers communities to shape their environments while transforming the public institutions that drive change.

Bec specialises in future-oriented strategy-making that reimagines both built and natural environments. By integrating strategic, systemic, participatory, and service design, she creates imaginative yet grounded solutions that tackle the climate crisis, promote equity, and experiment with new forms of governance.
