Empowerment Day: Fostering Collaboration and Problem-Solving among Students
Today the Master Board took part in a lesson dedicated to its students called ‘Empowerment Day’. Beatrice Villari led the lesson, which focused on team building, communication, and idea development. The day was filled with exciting and informative activities that allowed students to learn and have fun. One of the highlights of the day was the 6 thinking hats activity, which centered on whether an incinerator should be built in a town. Beatrice, the professor for the class, ensured that students were kept on their toes throughout the exercise.
The schedule for the day included activities such as community building through profile mapping and matching peers, team building, and collaborative problem-solving using the 6-hats theory.
Through these activities, students were able to assess their attitudes and capabilities, identify resources that they can share in a team, and learn how to support their role play in a team setting.
The Empowerment Day was an excellent opportunity for students to learn and have fun while enhancing their skills and building relationships. The 6 thinking hats activity was a great example of how teamwork and collaboration can be leveraged to solve complex problems effectively!
