Call for future service designers: UX prototyping and Interaction Design is here
We are excited to announce the start of a new Service Design Pill, Interaction Design & UX Prototyping, with Payton Meyer, directly from New York, where he works as Senior Interaction Designer at Google. During these days, students will gain an understanding of key interaction design concepts and methods through a hands-on approach, focused on user narratives.
What do we mean when we say Interaction Design? How is it the same or different from UX, UI, or service design? The module aims to shed light on exactly this topic, which is extremely hot for new service designers. Thanks to case studies and industry examples, Meyer is showing how interaction designers can effectively collaborate at every stage with their cross-functional peers, and how interaction design interrelates with Service Design, User Research, and UI Design.
Teams are selecting hypothetical design briefs based on real-world products, and, then, they will proceed by carrying out functional clusters and hierarchies for digital applications, sketching interfaces based on usability best practices, and creating low-fidelity prototypes for rapid testing. What’s more, they will develop research protocols for Usability Testing, creating digital wireframes, and applying a framework for measuring success post-launch.
The schedule is very rich, and we can’t wait to reach the mountaintop and see the big picture as a result of the work done.
